OCP Subscribers Get Priority for
Golijov's AINADAMAR

In March 2008, one of opera's most talked-about contemporary works makes its Philadelphia Premiere when Osvaldo Golijov's Grammy®-winning opera Ainadamar is produced by the celebrated artists of Curtis Opera Theatre, the training ground of many of today's most acclaimed operatic voices. Given in four performances only in a fully-staged, new production presented by Kimmel Center Presents at the intimate Perelman Theater, Opera Company subscribers have exclusive access to this much-anticipated, limited-availability classical music event.  Golijov's opera, which won 2006 Grammy® Awards for Best Classical Contemporary Composition and Best Opera Recording, recounts the assassination of Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca through the eyes of his muse, actress Margarita Xirgu, and incorporates passionate melodies and distinct Latin American influence.

Subscribers to OCP, Curtis and Kimmel Center Presents should watch their mail later this week for a custom order form.  Remaining single tickets will be available in August 2007.
